Hey Rachel, congrats! I have an Italian passport (but I have lived in England and now in Paris) but i can say you are more Italian than I am! You have understood with your heart and your mind the authentic essence of Italian culture, not only the cooking or the genius loci of Rome..I am an avid reader of your Guardian columns and your way of looking at things, at habits, with love and respect, makes me feel nostalgic.it is weird so many italians don’t grasp the essence as you do, so it’s not a matter of nationality but of being open minded.Thank you!
